The happiest of times

the happiest of times

The Valentines day dance was a bust. Winter weather advisory and then school closing.

"A lot of people were sick, anyway." Valentina reminded Ollie who had done his best to get his driver's license before the big day with Valentina. At least, they went out for pizza at a nice Italian place where the salad bar was fresh. So all was not lost.

In fact, Ollie felt so grownup. He doubted his father had ever gone out to such an upscale place. And Ollie could afford the prices. If only there had been dancing, the night might have been perfect.

"So how do you like working at the bakery?" Ollie thought about seeing Gabby's boyfriend. He wondered if Gabby was having a sweet Valentines day. Ste was a little sour to the world. The day Ollie remembered seeing him.

"Its good." She said she liked the Saturdays there. It made her happy. Especially, to see all the people come in. Some were old. Some were there with their kids. She liked running the register. "Everyone, works hard." She said she didn't talk much to those on staff, but she got along with them.

"I'm glad, you like it." Ollie grinned, still in shock that her parents let her go out on her birthday.

He gave her a nice gift set of perfume and a scarf. He wanted to buy her more, but his dad told him not to over do it.

Ollie was so happy to be with Valentina and then he looked up and saw Candy with some guy.
