one last thing

Will listened to what his step-mom had to say about Ivy and her new baby. Of course, Clare did the right thing and brought food and stuff for the baby.

Really, Will felt numb at the moment. He hated to tell his Dad, Easy, how things were going backward in his life..instead of forward. Although, he wouldn't change a thing. He would be there for Lux, no matter what.

He'd also found out that the father of Lux's baby awoke from a coma.

"It's just, I-I thought all this time he was in jail." He didn't know what else to say while his step-mom was pouring lemonade on a hot summer's day while his dad was grilling burgers. The first holiday of the season for picnic food.

"I guess-" Clare started.

"Wait, there's something else I need to tell you," Will wanted to get this over with, like ripping off a bandage. It would hurt to admit and yet he couldn't wait to tell the only mom he knew..the news.

"Lux and I-" Still he felt faint to admit it. "We're gonna have a baby..before Christmas." He winced hard. He really didn't want to move back home, but it was the only thing that made sense.

Clare nodded. She reminded him that her sons had moved. The house was practically empty. She gave him a hug. "Just come home then. We have room for all of you."

Will nodded. He just wished it was that easy to talk to his Dad about this. Not that he would be upset. It was just the fact he and his dad hardly talked anymore. This wasn't exactly how he wanted to start up a conversation with him. But he guessed he would have too.
