They clipped my wings again

Gabby couldn't believe her luck. When Arlo called to need her help with Torry's brother, she was happy to meet them.

And to think she could have been with Ste's brother somewhere. Suddenly, she was a tour guide and possibly den mom to all those boys.

Although, it was sad that Torry was so distraught over the Bree matter. She couldn't just come out and tell him to get over it. In her eyes, Bree was a spoiled brat, even now. Gabby did her best to not to envy her.

"Maybe, maybe you need to see her," Torry finally asked. "She still thinks you and Will are still together."

"I can't go along with that," Gabby shook her head and hugged herself as if she did have to stand up for herself, after all. "Why? Why should I?" She paused for a moment wondering what the consequences would be if she went on to say what was really in the heart. "Why? Why do you love her so much? She was never that great to you, you know." She couldn't stop herself from saying more. "You deserve better. And you know it. The right person hasn't come along yet."

She used to believe she was that person. Or maybe it was the fact she felt Torry was the right person for her. But she did have this problem of always venturing out for the next acquaintance she might meet. Gabby hated this about herself.

She looked to Arlo. It was true. He was probably to good for her too. But she wasn't going to break up with him. She was going to be that girlfriend he expected her to be.
