There are days like this, take 2

Spring was in the air. Maybe. Ellie wasn't sure of anything anymore. Yes, there was work. Life with a new baby and husband and of course, Rosie.

She knew early on that Rosie broke up with her longtime boyfriend Sunny, but Ellie gave her space and decided she wouldn't bring it up, unless Rosie said something.

"But, but she's seeing that Chance, isn't she?" Drew was confused.

"He's just a friend," Ellie told him while they were folding laundry.

"How can you tell?" Drew wanted to know.

"He'd be here all the time." Ellie shrugged.

"All the time," Drew looked puzzled. Ellie only smiled.

"Oh, just wait," she reminded him he was a girl dad now. So much to look forward too.

Drew let out a sigh as if he'd be ready for it.

"I'm not sure you can actually be ready for it," Ellie knew he'd have to stay calm. It was best to let these boy troubles run it's course and hope nothing major happened.

"Like what?" Drew almost scowled.

"Oh, it'll be fine," Ellie almost smirked. She didn't want to worry him, but a lot of listening would be involved, none the less.
