"What are you so worried about?" Willow was starting to believe being stressed was just in Dorian's nature. Sure, he'd kept the place in tact while they were gone, even if he did get sick. Lena was definitely welcomed here. She was in the back of the shop now, going through supplies.
OK, for a while, she did wonder if Dorian had decided to try something different, sharing his room with Lena, but obviously, something had changed. He was with Ruben now.
"Luc is going to hate me." He looked as if he had to live up to someone else's expectations, not his own.
"He's not going to hate you." Willow smiled. "He looks out for you. He's just concerned."
Willow just thought of it, but maybe there was a certain kind of love between them, and she could see Dorian hated giving that up.
"If you say so." He shrugged a bit indifferent. He went on with his work in the kitchen while she looked after the counter. Still he was bidding his time. He hadn't exactly hung out with Luc since moving in with Ruben.
"Did you, even tell him, you moved?" She asked now as she was checking the smoothie machine.
He shook his head, no.
"So you're avoiding him?" Willow knew there friendship meant a lot, but Luc was busy with Olivia, doing all the things a soon to be father would do, like baby care classes and on the hunt for the right baby buggy.
"Pretty much." Dorian bit his bottom lip.
Willow just smiled.
"It really won't be that bad." She thought of it being a blip on the radar. No major catastrophe. "He'll see that you're as happy as he is." It just might not be today.
I hope she's right. :)
ReplyDeleteI think she is right.
ReplyDeleteI think Luc cares about him. He is a close friend.
ReplyDeleteI think Dorian tries so hard to please. He's got to be happy about himself too. And I think he has that. I hope.
ReplyDeleteI've always liked their friendship. Luc and Dorian.
