Is it February yet?

"Can somebody, please tell me, what's going on?" Gage only had time for a quick sandwich, and then he had to pick Halie up from work, but there was Carson's new girlfriend, with her baby. And this Randy who got the room with his own TV. Why was he getting special treatment?

"Brittany..is.." His mother Clare started.

"We just needed a place to stay tonight, that's all." She smiled.

Gage couldn't tell if she were ever so clever, or maybe an idiot. Gage winced. This was weird, to him.

As it was, life was so very busy. He felt as if he was trudging on from one place to the next. Half give out and wished he'd studied a little harder. But he was actually doing OK in school.

He got a ring tone from his phone, but it wasn't Halie.

"Holden? What's up?" He was here for Christmas, but Gage didn't get to see him. He was hoping he would at least stop by the grocery store, but he didn't.

"Hey, are you busy?" Holden asked.

"Uh, I got a few minutes before I gotta go somewhere." Gage told him.

"Sorry, I missed you, man. Got laid up, after a fender bender." Holden told him.

"What? You, were in a car accident?" Gage scowled, knowing how hard it was for Holden to drive again after his last car accident. "Are you OK?"

Holden gave him a full report about his broken arm. And he wanted him to know he was with Luna now, but he had to keep it a secret.

Gage really thought his ears were going to start to hurt. He didn't want to keep another secret.
He guessed he was going to have to tell Halie about the phone call from Macy.
