its in the atmosphere

It's in the atmosphere

As soon as Ollie noticed Kramer with his ex, Birdy, he felt troubled. So he called Valentina.

To his surprise she was at the bakery. "What are you doing there?" He thought she only worked Saturdays.

"It was so busy yesterday, we needed to do a thorough cleaning." She said a lot of people had coughs and her boss felt they needed to sanitize the place.

"What?" He winced. He didn't like this one bit. He hung up and came to the bakery as soon as he got off work. Of course, he had to go around back. That's where he met Gabby's boyfriend.

"What do you want?" Ste's soured look almost gave Ollie a fright.

"Uh..uh..I'm..I'm just..just checking up on my..my girlfriend, Valentina." Ollie told him. Oddly, he would have never admit this to anyone but Gabby's boyfriend.

Ste nodded, and went back to mopping.

"Why did you tell him?" Valentina winced hard, after she took off the mask, as they went out back to talk.

"I..his girlfriend, I know at school.." He started.

"Gabby?" She knew. Obviously, she'd been keeping an eye on him, Ollie now thought. He hugged himself wanting to hug her.

"They're tight." He informed her.

She nodded with a stare that maybe they weren't.

"I talked with your foster mom and your dad." Valentina sounded now as if it might have been a bad idea, but she was glad to meet his dad.

Ollie knew. Although, they didn't really say too much about her visit. He guessed his dad liked her, but Ollie felt he couldn't say as much. It was best to keep quiet, even if he didn't really want too.

He knew her parents wouldn't be fond of the idea of them, together. Yet, he wanted to go out with her.

"I want to take you to the Valentines dance." He told her he had his permit now, maybe he would have his driver's license any day.

"Really?" She smiled

"Well, your birthday is coming up." Ollie smirked.

As much as he liked the idea of being her date on the most romantic night of the year, there were the drawbacks, facing her mom and dad would not be easy, but he knew he had too..sooner than later.
