Among the fairy dust

West was probably the most decked out guy at Homecoming and he was with Savanah who was model ready.

Sunny knew Rosie was about to have a meltdown. She didn't go for people like West and Savanah.

"Maybe they want to be more like us." Sunny only smiled and drew Rosie in to dance with him close to all the slow songs on Homecoming night. Sunny noticed West and Savanah mingled a lot. He didn't know if any of it was real, and he didn't care.

"I'm here with you, and I want everyone to know we are together." Sunny kissed Rosie's forehead. "I don't care what they do."

Next thing he knew West was inviting him to an afterparty at his house.

"I'd rather be with my girlfriend." They had plans to have chocolate cream pie at their favorite all-night diner. They'd talk about the night and probably mundane things to West. "No can do." It was best not to even know where West lived. "Just don't get into trouble."

Of course, the next day he heard on the news his parents were in trouble for some underage drinking at West's house. There had been a car accident too. West wouldn't be playing soccer for the rest of the season due to an injured knee.
