Had anybody looked outside lately? The snow was falling, even if it were a dry one, it still found a way to cover the street as the wind whipped about. It could chill one to the bone.
"And we've got to think about Thanksgiving?" Drew really wasn't in the shopping mode. He was content decorating a tree and drinking hot cocoa.
"We should have been making a Thankful Tree," Ellie shrugged as if Thanksgiving did come before Christmas.
It gave Drew a slight ache between his eyes. He guessed he would be going to the grocery store, alone. Ellie handed over the long list.
"I hope I can find it all." Drew's eyes lit as he looked down the long list. "And, this is just for us?" He couldn't imagine all this eaten in one sitting.
"I'm inviting Ben and Mae. They have to work, right up..until the holiday. His parents have already gone to Florida for the winter." She said the girls were excited to have the neighbor boy over for the holiday. There was also the kid's table to think about with crafts and fun treats.
Here he was thinking it would be a lazy holiday. He could definitely sleep through Black Friday. At the moment, he needed to thaw his car before he went anywhere.
