Just brilliant!
Gabby was certain of it. Things were falling apart with her summer fling. Her relationship was on the rocks with Arlo.
Granted Arlo was taking over Torry's art classes at the university due to a personal matter.
Torry's love woke up from her coma. Except she didn't know him.
Gabby found it kind of funny. Although, she knew she was a horrible person to think that way. Arlo didn't have time for Gabby. Yes, she wanted to think this was her friend-enemy Bree's fault. Yet Gabby didn't want to waste her time wallowing in any of this miserable misfortune.
After all, it was a fresh fall semester and plenty to see and do. She'd quietly sip her pumpkin spice latte and go on with life. Yet, the taste of the hot drink was as artificial as if ever was. Possibly, a lot like Gabby's love life.
The more she thought of Arlo's devoted life to his teacher and friend Torry, the more disgusted Gabby felt. It was as if she didn't have a chance for a future with pink-haired artist Arlo. She was aiming to set her eyes on a new conquest.
However, there was something rather familiar about him. She couldn't exactly say who he reminded her of. But it was an easy Monday when she sat next to him in her lit class. He was fit yet possibly in a pout.
Then when he spoke. She couldn't help but smile.
"What's so funny?" He practically snapped.
"Oh, you made me think of someone I used to know." Suddenly, she felt giddy and nostalgic.
"Aw, you must know my brother then." His smile was sly as he looked Gabby over.
"Brother?" She looked at him blankly.
"Ste from the Bake Shop." His smile was a little small. It was impossible to really read him.
"Ste? But his brother died." Gabby let slipped.
"He had another brother?" He swelled a frown as if he didn't like this news at all. "So? You know my brother well? Do you?"
"I guess." Gabby felt as if she'd said too much, but still, she wanted to know more about Ste's brother, Jaxon.
