Trends change, rumors fly through new skies

This was a lot to wrap Lindy's head around. When was she so quick to decide anything? And Jay of all people?

She remembered she was looking toward the baby's room at his place, and he took her hand as if he might be ready to dance. It was clumsy at first but he had a way of spinning her around. It was like being at that dance when she was a kid and that guy practically picked her up off her feet. Yeah, that's how it had been with Jay. A real tale spin. Evidently.

She'd blacked out. She didn't remember anything. It might have been the best sex she ever had. Jay made it sound as if she was the best.

It just made her laugh now. She was moving in with Jay. Of course, he wanted to know if they needed new sheets.

"I don't think so," she'd shrugged. His bed was much better than hers. After all, her dad had given it to her and it was packed with dust from the barn. Perhaps that's what had given her the sniffles, to begin with.

Her people just weren't indigenous they were country folk too and they skimped and saved when they could. Jay was a city fellow. She knew. He didn't smell of dusty things and animal dung. She was glad to be far from the farm. No way did she want to go back. They'd have her killing chickens in no time. Really, she didn't want to bring him home.

"What are you thinking?" Jay wanted to know about their room.

"Nothing." She looked a little sad.

"When it warms up, we'll go to the zoo and take lots of pictures," he said. They didn't have any of the two of them together. But of course, he was taking a selfie right now. She didn't know how to smile. Each one he looked so happy while she looked like she was about to be hit by a freight train.

She nodded. He was holding his baby girl Hope. Lindy put her hands out as if she wanted to hold her. Finally, he let Hope fall into her arms, but she kicked so. Lindy just about dropped her. Jay hadn't let go of the baby.

"Oh, she's a mover these days," he smiled and mentioned how Hope could walk around the coffee table now.

Lindy did her best to smile. She knew nothing really about toddlers. She was a little anxious. She didn't know Hope would be around like this.

  7. More about the Lindy puzzle! Finding out that she's a farm girl to Jay's city boy was interesting. As was hearing that she's hesitant for him to see how her family lives. That sort of stuff is always hard. But Jay's seen a lot of life, and I don't think a little dung would phase him. The real conflict seems to be Lindy's adjustment to Hope. Which is totally understandable. When my sister had her first baby, I was afraid to hold him. As always, I'll be waiting to see how this plays out!

Thanks so much for including my heart and floral prints, and the the heart too! You made the flowers look like a bouquet, which is cool. And that orange polka dot dress is so pretty! :)
