Living in a daydream

Bom wasn't sure what she was agreeing to, but it seemed important to Niah.

"You have to ask her over and invite us too," she was being so mysterious.

"Your dad met some one?" Bom had no idea who.

"No, I met her first. She's so pretty. Like a princess," Niah was all smiles as she talked about her. Her name was Poppy. Did Bom know anyone by that name?

"She lives in our building too," Niah said she was the one who helped her find her way home.

"Well, I guess we should invite her over then," Bom nodded. Of course, it had been ages since she'd had anything that resembled a dinner party. "What should we have?"

"Oh, I dunno. Something good. Maybe spaghetti." Niah shrugged.

"Spaghetti? When have I ever made spaghetti?" Bom festered a look.

"You know, those noodles you make."

"Oh, that's just Ramen." She'd have to make something better than that. Of course, Keanu rattled off all his favorites.

"You make very good chicken nuggets," he smiled.

"Those aren't even homemade," she reminded him with a sigh. She was sure she'd make something the grownups might eat but the children..."Oh all right, I'll make you two chicken nuggets."

"Can you make it right now?" Keanu was always hungry.

"Sure, go finish your puzzle and don't have a disagreement. Work together." She told them. They both acted as if they were way too old for their own good.

She hoped this Poppy person was the right person for Joon. Of course, he wasn't going to mention anything. He was always quiet as if he would never bother anyone. Ever.

  9. It's so sweet when Niah to refers to Poppy as a pretty princess. I do hope things go well for Poppy and Joon. The last part from Bom's point of view is interesting: "Of course, he wasn't going to mention anything. He was always quiet as if he would never bother anyone. Ever." It makes me wonder if it's a compliment or not, and what kind of things he didn't tell Bom. Or maybe she just means that he's shy and is being protective of him. We shall see!
