"I don't know if I want you to be there alone with her," Brandon let Yuki stay at their place. Of course, it was a little crowded, but she slept on the couch. Maybe she could get her own place, but he found out she was living from paycheck to paycheck and Remi always had her paycheck.
"It won't be that bad," Yuki winced as if she couldn't stay away forever.
"But she's mad," he said about Remi. "I heard her on the phone with you. She was screaming. She called you a lot of horrible names."
"I know," Yuki sounded as if it was nothing new. Of course, he knew she was getting texts from Emily too.
"Maybe it would be best if you just stayed with Emily," Brandon said it was a good option.
"It would be good, but I have my stuff at Remi's and..and I don't know how she might be if..if Emily gets involved. She's just a friend. I don't want her..her to have to see how Remi can be." Yuki sounded as if it might get violent. "I'll..I'll do whatever Remi wants."
"Why are you putting yourself through this?" Brandon's face tensed. "You need to just leave it alone with Remi."
About then Declan said she could stay with them longer if she wanted.
But Yuki still looked as if she wanted to be alone in this. That it was best to get through this with Remi and all would be well.
"Has she ever hurt you before?" Brandon asked.
"No." Yuki almost bellowed as she cringed.
"She gave her a black-eye more than once," Declan knew.
Brandon sighed. "How can somebody so tiny be so violent?" He shook his head.
"It'll be OK," Yuki said she needed to go home. She said she'd outstayed her welcome. "She's had plenty of time to cool off."
Brandon didn't believe her. "You call me, and let me know what happens."
Of course, Yuki only nodded and got ready to go home.
