Fill up the engine, we can drive real far

 

At least the wedding went off well. Although, it was quaint and mostly Oakley's family. Still, it was enough for Finn. Sure, he thought of calling Dory, but he didn't want to spoil the festive mood. Of course, it didn't seem like a big thing to Finn's Mom who was out in Seattle. She couldn't make it due to work and Finn had expected as much. She was after all a devoted musician who worked at a University. When most would be off for the summer, not his mother. She was always preparing to inspire more music students in the Orchestra. 

There was his father, who lived in Europe, but they wouldn't see him. Or so he thought, but they ended up in Madrid due to unrest in Paris. 

Oh, he had wanted to give Oakly an unforgettable trip to Paris. Although, it didn't work out that way. Instead, they stayed at his Dad's apartment much like his own, old and distinct in character.

"But it's great!" Oakley assured Finn. "This is my chance to know your father."

Finn thought she was just being funny, but she told him he was like his dad. He played the piano in an orchestra. He also worked at a University there too. 

"I think you two are a lot of like," she nodded.

Finn only winced. He didn't see it.  But there were places to go and the food was scrumptious. "I just wish we could, you know, be on our own more." He shrugged about the matter of it not being romantic enough.

"You know, you're pretty thrifty, and I wouldn't want you any other way," she told him she liked that they were staying at his dad's.

"It's just our plans are so mixed up," at least Paris could wait. They could come back. Their reservations at where they were staying held onto them for a better time.

"See, we haven't lost any money," Oakley was pleased and so was he. So they took in the local scene of wine bars, jazz places and of course, doing the tango every chance they could get.
