Not gonna say I've been OK

 

"Are you sure you're OK?"

Phil could barely hear Boone's question who was waving a chocolate chip blonde bar under his nose as he was laying on the couch frazzled. 

Lexi had gone to CVS for more pregnancy tests. After all, the first test didn't give her the results she wanted.

"I made it myself," Boone said about the cookie bar. "We're giving the leftovers now to the Coffee Shop for free. So it is free." He wanted to clarify.

Phil sighed and took the cookie. He bit off a huge chunk and it was sweet and rich with goodness just like he expected. Phil gradually set himself up. Still he didn't know if he wanted to talk about it with Boone.

"This isn't as easy as I thought it would be," he winced.

"What?" Boone sat down on the couch and grabbed a pillow to hug. Phil felt like he might need to hug a pillow too, but he finished the cookie first.

"You know." Phil practically yelped.

"Oh." Boone nodded. Then he kind of smiled, "Here Lily and I are trying our best not to have a baby."

Phil sighed.

"Look, you gotta relax. Don't even think about it." Boone told him. 

"But I have to," Phil winced.

Boone sighed. "Do you want me to talk to her?" Boone was serious. This only made Phil's eyes intense.

"You wouldn't," Phil said.

"Yes, I would." He said he didn't like the way Lexi was treating him.

"She treats me fine," Phil snapped.

"Oh, you'd say that, because you're a nice guy, but is Lexi really playing nice. Is she?" Boone frowned.

Phil pressed his lips tight. "Forget I even said anything." He then asked about Boone's new roommate.

"He's got a cat," Boone yawned. 

"A cat?" Phil shook his head.

"Yeah, she comes in at night and sleeps on my chest." Boone fumed.

Still, Phil thought things were easy for Boone. 

"If I were you, I wouldn't even think about having a baby until you guys are married at least a year or two." Boone nodded. Phil nodded too. Yeah, Boone was probably right. Still Phil felt bad that the roommate's cat slept with him.
