Every single one's got a story to tell

"I just don't get why you are even into her," Cowan looks at Sterling as if he's lost it. They were brainstorming for ideas. Although, they didn't seem to go anywhere these days. Wasn't like an Improv was going on anywhere, except at Cowan and Izzy's. Yes, he guess he should include Mercer because he was always there, except at the moment he was at playpractice.

"What do you want me to do?" Sterling squints back as if Cowan has no idea where he's coming from.

"Oh God, you are in love," Cowan cringes, giving a shivering look at his friend as he goes to get more Cheeseits from the kitchen to snack on. "She won't even feed you!" Cowan ballows from the cupboard as he reaches for the snack to put in the bowl.

Sterling looks like a bump on a log when Cowan gets back.

"How bad is it?"

"Well, we still sleep together," he shrugs.

"Of course, you do." Cowan bats his eyes as if he really knows what their relationship is about. They seem to only have time for one thing. "And..and you do the dishes, and the laundry and how many times a day do you vacuum?"

"Well."

He won't say. He has no time to be creative. Cowan knows.

"Have you even gotten past chapter three in that novel you are writing?" Cowan puts down the snack and before Cowan can get a square, Sterling has grabbed a handful to stuff in his mouth.

"Maybe, when November comes." He says between crunches.

"I'm worried about you."

"I know."

Sterling looks at his white Word Document. He hasn't typed a thing. "I can't be as lucky as you. You have Izzy."

"And Mercer," Cowan smiles, but then admits, "I'm kind of worried about him and Cade."

"I don't think I even know him," Sterling says.

"He's a busy guy, Mercer has finally found his calling," Cowan says about the theater. "Who knows, we might have an empty room soon."

Sterling almost coughed a laugh. "Not very likely."

Cowan nodded. He knew Sterling would stay with Melissa no matter what. Cowan wouldn't say it, but he was starting to think Mercer  liked being on  his own
