A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away...

Harry hated to get cornered by Remi in his own kitchen. There were people over. It was the weekend. It was the 4th Be with You, and it was no time to bring him down.

"I know what this is about," he said while reaching for the ice in the fridge. "You saw her, didn't you?" He looked back at his cousin with a perturbed look.

"Yes, I saw Maisy and the baby," Remi glared back.

"And?" He propped back on the counter, waiting for her to let it all out. Waiting to hear that he was a mean one.

"And, she's struggling. She's scared. She's a mess."

Harry sighed. That wasn't exactly what he was expecting to hear. Remi told him of Maisy's crazy troubles with the rich Asian couple and how she had the baby now. "But she's got Cade and well..I think that's enough."

"Cade?" It didn't really ring a bell. He poured himself some hard lemonade at took a sip. He knew he and Maisy could never be anything now. Not even friends. It was a cold wall to face, but it was life. He heard laughter in the other room. He went back to the party.

Of course, Mali and Vanna were in a showdown of who was the best Princess Leia. A game of favorite Star Wars scenes was in progress. Of course, this was all Mali's idea. She was a big Star Wars fan, and she'd gotten plenty of her co-workers to come dressed as their favorite Star Wars character. It wasn't easy to keep all the movies straight, but he was happy they could have an afternoon of fun.

It was all so foreign to Harry. Still, he enjoyed watching Mali's enthusiasm. She knew the trivia. Needless to say, it was a learning experience for Harry.

"What is Luke Skywalker's home planet?" Koda said after drawing a slip of paper from the jar of questions.

There were plenty lined up to answer. Of course, Mali shouted, "Tatooine!"

"Hey, you're the one who put in the questions, you can't answer them," Harry laughed.

"Well, nobody was gonna get it anyway?" She smiled as she danced around him in her flowy costume, she'd made out of a sheet. She kissed him on the cheek.

"You gotta give the rest a chance," he told her.

"I'm trying," her big brown eyes looked up at him. He knew she was the best thing that ever happened to him, and it felt as if his life was growing. He hugged her then.

"Who built C-3PO?"

Harry playfully covered her mouth before she could answer.

  2. I love the Star Wars saga, but I don't know if I could answer all the questions despite having seen the movies several times! I've already played Princess Leya on my blog, a heroine to me, of course!
Happy May and thank you for your always enthusiastic comments! Hugs
