There was a time when they were very best friends. Unfortunately, she and Ellie have gone their separate way. Perhaps it happened when she had her falling out with Nick which ended badly.
Since then she and Ellie have lost contact. Ellie isn't even sure where Leia is. She hasn't seen her at school. No one talks about her anymore. No one seems to know what happened to Leia.
The last time Ellie saw her was at a football game with a biker dude.
