trying to understand

Dear Diary,

Maybe Kyle is right. Maybe I don't know Geo at all, and maybe where he worked was a horrible place to work. Maybe he's not lazy at all. I hope he's right. I hope my sister hasn't gotten herself involved with some that they find out years from now that he can't hold down a job because of some gene factor or some such freaky thing.

Besides, Kyle started in on his brother. Kyle thinks he's gay. Don't know why he's come to this conclusion. His brother does have a girlfriend. "Doesn't mean I think anything less of him. I love my brother. He'll always be my big brother."

Lisa will always be my big sister. But does she ever worry about me, really?
I know she doesn't. She's my sister and she's got Lisa stuff on her mind. Wish I could be more like her.

Then the Leia thing with Roxie. How could that be? After all she's dating Roxie's ex. How did they suddenly get so chummy? Wish I could understand this, but I can't.
