Of course, Kyle didn't kiss Amanda. Naturally, there was Eric hanging all over Ellie which might have turned Kyle's stomach the most, but then Rory showed up, a little blond who used to be Kelsy's best friend.

"OH MY GAWD!" Truly, he hated her voice, and she made all over him as if perhaps he'd traveled the world with her and been her best friend the entire time. Actually, he hardly knew her.

"Where have you been?" She hung on to him as if he was the rockstar she was waiting for all night. And they'd just gotten in to the small basement where the show was going to happen. She was so close to his space. He could taste the liquor on her breath. She was younger than him, and no, no, it was just wrong. A little drunk girl at the show.

"I haven't gone anywhere," Kyle assured her wanting to edge away.

"I missed you so much," She was all sad and her fingers were playing on his lips, and he wanted to push her way so badly. She was like a little bird wanting to pass food to him. Completely, disgusting.

"Listen, I'm here with, Amanda." He unlocked her arms around him. He looked for Amanda for help. She looked startled.

"Amanda? Who's Amanda?" Rory looked as if this was a whole new world to her as she stumbled around. Who were these people?

"Derrick's sister." Kyle found himself handing her off to Derrick. Yeah, she'd listen to him. He'd just have Amanda to himself. Perhaps.

Of course, the next thing Kyle knew, Derrick was getting lucky. Rory was making out with him.

Amanda and Kyle just watched them as the light show started. Amanda stood there like a bump on a log. Kyle definitely knew then he'd found the iceberg of the evening, but then she was his ride home.
