I just want to feel you everywhere

Ellie wasn't sure what to think. She'd seen Eric in the hallway the day before, and he said hello. He said, "I hope you have a great Valentines day." And he'd given her a CD mix with of course, a chocolate Dove taped to it.

She was speechless. He didn't wait for a thank you or anything else. He just moved along.

It got to her now, sitting in her room, wishing he'd at least left a note with the mix, but no, just twelve songs. Nothing really significant to have any secret meaning. Just songs he knew she'd enjoy.

"I think he's tormenting me now," she told Nick as soon as she got a hold of him on her cell. She laid back on her pillows on her bed as if she had all the time in the world before Valentines day officially began with Elliot.

"Tormenting you? Oh, how horrible," Nick just mocked.

"Has he said anything to you? You know, is he seeing anyone?" She thought she might melt into tears if he were.

"I'm not sure. Roger mentioned he was with someone when they went to see that gay movie." Nick told her.

"What gay movie? He saw a gay movie?"

"Yeah, like the gayest ever, Roger won't shut up about it," Nick said, but he couldn't remember the name of it because no way was he going to see it. Ellie thought maybe she'd call Roger and ask him about it.

"You don't want to do that," Nick explained. "He won't shut up about the movie."

But she called Roger, anyway.

"Hey, what have you been doing with Eric?" Ellie didn't waste time. It kept ticking.

"Nothing." He sounded mysterious.

"Well, I know he went to a movie with you. Nick told me." Ellie then said.

"So. What about it?" He sounded as if he was on somebody's side and it wasn't her's.

"Did anybody else go?"

"Yeah."

Ellie found herself pacing in her room. She looked at the clock. Elliot would be here in the hour to pick her up for their Valentines day extravaganza, supposedly.

"Just tell me. Who was she?"

"I dunno."

"God, Roger, don't do this! I need to know." She begged as if she were in turmoil now. Not sure what to do next.

"It wasn't a big deal. OK. Got it." Roger told her.

"It is to me." This was important information and Roger was stalling.

"Well, it shouldn't be. She's nice. I don't think it was a date. It was just somebody. OK." The tone of his voice sounded ominous. She felt as if it were the worst news she could possibly here. Eric had found someone.

Ellie felt physically ill. She didn't want to imagine what he might be doing with her. This was horrible, and she had only 45 minutes to get ready before Elliot showed.

  1. Aw..That's SO sweet of Eric. Really. I don't know if ir's supposed to be an attempt to win her back or an attempt to be friendly, but it's super nice either way.
Haha... He sure knows how to fascinate girls! Now he's got Ellie thinking about him again!
And she's worrying about Eric seeing someone! YEAH! [You know, I really want them to get back together... :)]
I'm going to listen to the songs now.
My song recommendation for you today is Pennyroyal Tea by NIRVANA. Don't know if you know it...? You probably do.
