Amanda noticed them first while they were at IHOP. At least Ellie and Elliot were nearby. But how was this going to go down? Eric showing up with that girl.
They were a bit oblivious. Eric and who ever. So were Cory and Roger. Even Kyle. She nudged him. He looked up and squinted slightly, but went back to talking to Nick as if he hadn't noticed any new arrivals at IHOP. It was late and people were busy talking. It was nothing. Only Amanda thought it was something.
She looked at Ellie who was sitting next to Elliot. They looked in some sort of deep conversation. Of course, Ellie didn't notice her. She was, after all, in her own little world. At least, Eric and that girl went in the opposite side of the restaurant. Amanda breathed easy then. She excused herself to go to the restroom then. She just couldn't help herself.
"Well, what are you doing here?" She sounded friendly. Hopefully, Eric knew who she was.
"Um, Amanda," Eric said introducing her to Olivia.
"You know, Ellie's here," Amanda whispered.
"Really?" He didn't sound to tragic about it.
"She's with Elliot." Amanda said so quietly.
"Elliot." It wasn't a question. Just a statement.
"Yeah, we went to see Fired Up. It was really good." Amanda studied Olivia. Then looked at Eric. She could see they looked to be friends. After all, Olivia was sitting across from him. They weren't cuddling. Perhaps they were in some intense conversation. "Sorry, if I bothered you."
"You didn't," Eric said. "Its good to see you."
Amanda walked on the the restroom then. God, she thought, this was bad. Really, bad. She'd just told Eric that Ellie was here. Why did I do that? Amanda then thought to herself.
Hi there-lets hope theres no big fight or screaming matches!
ReplyDeleteI like how Amanda is a concerned friend. Eric is at least being polite.

Might I just ask... where was Kelsey?
IHOP reminded me of the film I Am Sam. With (my man) Sean Penn, Michelle Pfeiffer and Dakota Fanning. It's outstanding. One of my favorite films. Have you seen it?
