A friend in needs a friend indeed,
A friend with weed is better,
A friend with breasts and all the rest,
A friend who's dressed in leather,
A friend in needs a friend indeed,
A friend who'll tease is better,
Our thoughts compressed,
Which makes us blessed,
And makes for stormy weather-Placebo
Ellie awoke with a startle in the backseat of someone's car. Some one. She squinted. Focusing. It was still. Just a chill in the wind that breezed through her messed up hair.
"Where are we?" She jerked up and noticed she was not alone. Some-one's hand around her waist. There was barely enough room for the two of them in the backseat, and when she looked back at him. It was just a blur now. A big blur.
"You said you wanted to see the Presidents," a muffled voice said.
"The Presidents?" She looked out the passenger window then. It startled her. Was that what she thought she saw? Ellie shook her head, no.
"I'm pretty sure we're not suppose to be here." She shook Ryan then.
"Relax," he rubbed sleep from his eyes.
"I don't know what happened! How could you do this too me!" She was really shaking him this time to get up. He was just in his briefs, anyway.
"You said you liked it." He informed her.
"You told me to like it, that's what you did!" Ellie gave him a bitter look. "I want to go home now!"
"Sure thing," Ryan just smiled. "Just let me get some clothes on first."
Ellie crawled into the front seat then. She still had on her glittery prom dress which was ripped at the bottom. She hugged herself hoping she'd remember something. Nothing. How could that be? She wanted to cry, but what good would that do?
"I don't believe this!" She gritted, looking at George Washington's stony eyes peering just above the tree line. "I don't know how you did it! Even why you did it! How could we have got out of the state... all the way to South Dakota!"
"It was easy." Ryan shrugged crawling into his jeans one leg at a time. "You can drive fast in this state. They don't seem to mind." He didn't even worry about a shirt. He started the car and off they went down the sea of grass toward the highway.
Ellie nursed her upper lip wondering what to do first. She had to find her bag. Then everything would fall into place. Wouldn't it?
Hi there-what an absolute creep, Ellie needs to decide how she is going to take this situation and handle it right.
ReplyDeleteThat would definitely be a freaky moment.
