Syd cried when she saw Eric. She didn't mean to be so emotional, but she was glad to get him back. It would be great to have him all to herself for a change. And to sleep in this comfy bed they now had. It sure beat the futon back at the apartment.
"So. So how-" She didn't know where to start. "How- how do you feel about everything?"
"Great." He squinted with a smile. "I mean. I'm still in shock about a lot of things. But Evan's just amazing. He looks like Amanda." He nodded as she sat down on the bed with her.
"Wow." She smiled hugging him.
"Yeah, Evan's gonna be a red head."
"You with red hair." She teased.
He shook his head. "I am so tired, but I miss him. I do. I just never thought I'd have a chance to get that close. He's perfect, you know. But my back is killing me." He sighed. "You want to walk on my back?" He kissed the side of her neck then.
"What?" She laughed. "Are you serious? No, no, I'm too heavy. I might crush something."
"You would not. That's all I've thought about. Well, sort of, you..you walking on my back." He laughed.
"This sounds-" She scratched her fingers through her long bangs and put a strand behind her ear. "Horrible, Eric. It does." She joked, yet she was serious. It did sound terrible to her.
"Just this once." He smiled as he leaned in, and he kissed the side of her face as he put his arm around her. She did enjoy his warmth.
"It sounds really crazy." She giggled.
He pulled off his T-shirt and got on the plaid rug next to the bed.
"I don't want to step on you." She sat there. "Just get closer to the bed."
"All right. He rested his forearms on his cheek as he turned away and closed his eyes.
Olivia checked for dirt on her feet. She then wiggled her toes between his shoulder blades as she sat there putting her feet on his back, steadily rubbing his back.
"Aw, that feels so good." He sighed.
Olivia giggled more. This was the last thing she thought she'd be doing when Eric came home.
