"Explain it to you?" Ravi winced. "Explain what to you?" He just had to act dumb about this. It was better to keep aloof. It wasn't exactly a lie. It was just....
Nothing was really going on with him and Olivia. Not like some porn flick fling. They were friends. They were really good friends. That's all he had to say because it was true. She helped him. He helped her. They talked...and they slept together.
It wasn't like she'd moved in with him, exactly. It was more of an act of convenience. Yeah, that's what it was. She was going to sleep on the couch that first night. Well, she had a lot on her mind, and he'd just said, "You don't look comfortable. You could sleep in my bed and I'll take the couch."
"No, that would just look funny." She'd winced to the idea.
"Well, doesn't it look funny that you're on the couch?" Ravi shrugged. Then she'd looked upstairs and pondered about what Syd and Eric might think of the situation.
Nothing more was said. It was a sleepover. They were friends.
Of course, when he thought about it now he could imagine Nick saying something like, "Yuck, you slept with a sick person?"
Naturally, Ravi had bickered with Olivia all along. "You should put your foot down and make Roger sleep on the couch." Of course, this would have never happened if Ellie and Lon hadn't taken the futon out of the nursery when they moved. She could be sleeping all by her lonesome right now. But as it was she was on her laptop in his bed and Ravi was having to act as if he had no idea what Nick was talking about. At least, he wasn't thinking about Liz, anymore.
