the terms of the agreement

                                                        We ♥ It
"I dunno if I can do this." Eric wasn't settled on Amanda's rights to Evan. It was set that she could see him once a week. At least, she couldn't be alone with him not yet. He had to be happy about that. And as it was, she'd been given full custody of him. But still, it bugged him that she had to see him at all.

"Its like she has too, and why should she?" He winced as he tried his best to get everything set up for her visit. He was afraid, one thing might be out of line, and she'd haul them all back to court to say she wanted the baby now. It was worrisome.

"You don't have a thing to worry about." Syd kept assuring him. "If we keep looking at her as part of the family, it'll work for everyone. And she is his mother, Eric."

"Yeah, but I can't do that." He was stubborn that way. "I would have, if, if she hadn't walked out on him like that. If I could trust her." So many scenarios kept running through his head, that she'd wake up one day and say she wanted him, for good. What was stopping that from happening? Honestly, he never thought he'd ever worry about this stuff.

A. he would never have kids.
B. he would be way older than the tender age of almost twenty.
C. he did not want to be his father.

"You'll just have to have some faith. Listen to her and don't upset her." Syd told him.

Eric clenched his teeth. He knew she was right, but it was so much harder to have to actually do. He was not an actor. He watched Syd with Evan. He knew she wasn't Amanda.

"I still want to marry you." He sighed.

"And I want to marry you." She smiled.

But it was complicated. Would it always be like this?

  1. I think both sides are a little on edge over this. It would be hard, but best to make the best of it.
