It stung Syd deep when she over-heard Melanie at work say in the break room that maybe Syd just wasn't committed to Eric. As soon as she got home she began to pace. She felt awful about this.
"Is that what you thought?" She could barely manage the words because this was so upsetting to her, and she was an emotional basket case.
"No." Eric was puzzled though. "We're getting married. Remember. Like this week."
"God, I really wished we'd gotten married months ago, you know that." She bit her upper lip.
"Really?" He squinted then as he went to put on the kettle for some tea.
"Yeah, but I thought, you know, I just wanted-"
"Wanted what?" He looked at her.
"Well, you know, the insurance thing. I didn't want that to be just the reason, you know." She nodded then as she went to get out cold cuts for sandwiches.
"So its not about the insurance now?" Eric gave her a sly smile.
"No, I just didn't want us to rush into all this, but its kind of a rush. It just is. And well, I just want you to know, I wouldn't want to be doing this with anyone else. I love you and all of this. Lets just make it legal." She smiled.
"All right then. My Dad and Ian are back." Eric sighed. There was nothing stopping them now.
Hey there. I didn't realize Nicholas Hoult played in Clash of the Titans until I saw it the other night on DVD. Thanks for your comment on my last blog post. It was great hearing from you. I hope all is well with you. I'm looking for a new job, plus I'm thinking about going back to college. Take care. Have a wonderful week ahead!
