on arrival

Amber could tell this wouldn't be the end of it with Amanda after listening to Kyle tell her all about Asa. Of course, she couldn't help but tell him this would probably be the worst time with Elliot. They needed to stay out of it. It was none of their business.

"I'm sorry she's sick." Amber just said. She was getting supper ready. Still left overs from New Years lurked in the fridge, but she was making Mac and cheese with the left over ham. It was in the oven now. "Maybe you should have let Rosie stay with us. Especially, if Amanda is sick."

"I dunno. Asa seems to have it under control. I guess I trust him. Its just, is he trying to help Amanda or Elliot?" Kyle shrugged as he grabbed for a cube of ham on the cabinet that didn't make it to the casserole, but she swiped his hand away. She smiled then. He chewed the ham.

Just then the doorbell rang. She wiped her hands on a dish towel and went to get it. A young woman with a police badge stood there. Amber couldn't think of a thing she'd done wrong, or anyone else in the house, for that matter.

"Who do you think you are?" The woman pushed herself in.

"I dunno." Amber winced. "What did I do?"

"She's my mother, you know, you had no business sticking your nose into our business! Where it doesn't even belong." She pressed toward Amber, who looked back at Kyle.

"Uh, I-I seriously, think you have the wrong person." Kyle approached her then.

"You're not Olivia?" She glared at Amber who shook her head, no.

"But she lives here? Right?" She still had her tough act.

"Uh, yeah, she does, she-she just hasn't came home yet." Amber showed her to the couch.

The woman hugged herself then. She slightly apologized. "Its just, I don't know why she had to find my mother. I mean, I've known her a lot longer than this Olivia." She was steamed.

Ravi came in.

"What are you doing here?" Ravi looked at the woman then. "Don't I know you?" He winced. He grinned at Amber. "I think I know her from work."

"She's looking for Olivia." Amber then told him.
