"Come with me." Josie grabbed Max's hand and pulled him into the girl's restroom. Thankfully, no one screamed. They were alone.
"What did I do?" Max could barely say. Had he looked at her too much? Did she think he was up to something? "I'm..I'm sorry." He could only feel his heart beating madly, perhaps for her, or for his life. He knew he wasn't suppose to be in the rest room with her.
She kissed him hard with tongue and such precision. He felt it was some sort of procedure without antithesis. Max felt his head pinch against the cold tiles. Just when was she going to let him go? He wasn't quite sure if he liked it. He was expecting something not so angry.
"You have to go to the dance with me." She stared him down. They were practically the same height, maybe. Max nodded as if he might be her bitch now.
She was so not what he expected.
"You don't kiss much, do you?" She wounded his ego, naturally. Max tried to smile, but he felt sad to admit it. He'd never kissed a girl. Her mouth took his in once more. At least, the kiss was much slower now. He kissed her back without hesitation. He wanted to forget he was in the girls' restroom. He closed his eyes, thinking they were somewhere outdoors.
"You better not tell Derrick, we're doing this." She warned then as if perhaps she was satisfied that he might be up for the job as her suitor.
