Mr. Impossible

Milo wasn't sure what that was about with Audrey. She'd never talked this much to him. But that was his cat she had a picture of.

He wouldn't bring it up. It was probably best the cat was with her. Liam was pretty lethal to the feline when she was around. Milo suspected Matilda deserved a vacation. Of course, before he could get situated, there were more questions about his 4th.

Why did anyone want to know? A part of him wanted to scream, "NOTHING HAPPENED!" But Milo kept silent. He finally let slip, "Not bad." Which meant he felt he was part of the unpopular furniture in the room that everyone avoided passing. Which was fine. He did his best to reprimand Liam when he could. But then his mother would tell him he was too harsh on his toddler son. Why was he making such a big deal out of the smallest things? He just couldn't get it right.

After awhile he sat back away from everyone and watched the world pass by. He watched how long it would take before his mother would keep Liam out of trouble.

There were the fun times. He and Liam set together blowing bubbles. Liam ate most of his hotdogs in Milo's lap. Milo kept him from putting too much in his mouth. Liam ended up eating most of Milo's ice cream cake and left most of it on Milo's shirt.

He wondered how long he could handle it... if it were just the two of them. Would it even be possible? Of course, it wouldn't hurt if Liam were completely potty trained. Of course, Liam would go to the restroom at the pre-school but not at home.

Milo knew he was certainly not going to get father of the year. If only he enjoyed being a parent more. He was trying. But at the moment, he was feeling the 4th was over-rated like any other holiday.
