You know you make my eyes burn
Olivia was in the state of limbo. She took off a week from her job, after the funeral. It was to get things in order.
Although, everyone was keeping up appearances, or so she thought, about Ravi's where-abouts that fatal night. No one knew anything about him being undercover. She felt as if she were the idiot.
But her family was there. Even Ravi's folks. His sister stayed a few days. Olivia wasn't sure who she'd seen or called. And then Scott showed up as if he'd take care of everything.
Olivia felt like a little girl. And she didn't like being treated like one. She could take care of herself.
"But, I want you to stay here." Her father thought that was the logical thing to do.
Of course, the family who raised her made everything like a packaged deal. God had a plan in all this. She didn't want to listen to religion. It was true, she did have her dad to fall back on. But she knew she couldn't have him for a crutch, forever.
A part of her was so angry. Even if she tried her best to let everyone console her. All these people thought they knew the right thing for her to do.
And then there was the text from Luc.
"I've been thinking about you."
Tears swelled in her eyes every-time she read it. Maybe it was guilt that got the best of her. She wished he was all she could think about too. Thoughts of him were like sunshine on a bleak day. She knew she didn't have a right to think that way.
After all, she missed Ravi. She truly did. But sometimes, in the deep of night when she'd think of happier times with Ravi in dreams...he'd turn into Luc.
Olivia would wake in a cold sweat. She couldn't have that. She couldn't.

Maybe starting something up with Luc would help Olivia move on. Ravi wouldn't want her lonely. :/
