a change might do you good

"Is that going to bother you?" Shan asked while he was at his locker. Henry was behind him eying Derrick with Sunny.

"Is what going to bother me?" Henry looked innocent enough as Shan gave in a quick smile.

"It does bother you." Shan looked him in the eye, although, Henry was avoiding eye-contact.

"Really nothing shocks me anymore with Derrick." Henry shrugged.

"Maybe, she can keep him in line." Shan shrugged back. He'd seen her more than once come out to the movie theater to have a word with her brother. She certainly knew how get Cedric into shape. Just one word from her lips and he tightened up. Of course, at the moment she looked really sweet. She looked pretty much in love with Derrick, who obviously was eating up the attention. "Maybe they'll move to New York City and make it big on Broadway." He knew it sounded like a storyline from Glee, but he got the impression Sunny thought big when it came to drama. He knew how she organized things. He was just glad he was not one of her puppets. At least, Henry wasn't either.

"That is just crazy." Henry smiled as if it were a joke, but Shannon could see Henry found this a wee bit troubling. As if a small part of him would be worried if Derrick left town. Shan wouldn't hold it against him.

"Not anymore crazy than me heading to Austin when I go to college." Shan shrugged then as they walked on. Henry's smile was gone. Instantly, he looked quite sad. Shan took his hand. He hadn't meant to put a damper on the day. Shan would find a way to make it up to him. He always did.
