Derrick didn't know why he wanted to be part of one, so bad. Actually, it was bit of a stress relief. Doing something without Sunny's benefit or call, for that matter. Meeting up with Zac was the last thing he thought would ever happen. Wasn't like Zac was all that friendly. But Derrick hadn't actually pulled out the welcome wagon, either.
Then to get a text just before he left school, to pick up Fish, it was like he was Zac's new best friend. It was also kind of funny to know Zac lived across the street from Josie. He was full of grins by the time the got to Zac's basement. Come to find out, he and Fish were the only ones to show up.
"Where's everybody else?" Derrick looked around at the empty dark paneled place. There was a drumset and an electric guitar in the corner.
"You were the only one interested." Zac told him.
"I shouldn't even be here." Fish was being a little timid. His grin was more out of stress than anything else. "I can't even play the drums." He confessed. "I don't know why I said that. I mean it was some kind of therapy at the time. And they said I was really good for someone.." He couldn't finish his sentence.
"Lets just see what we can bring together." Derrick shrugged as if it wasn't that big of a deal. He talked about the Green Day covers. "But I like a lot of old school stuff. Its just most of my equipment is stashed at my brother's. And I dunno.. who I'm staying with now, would be all that keen if, you know, it was at their place. I could bring some of it over."
"What do you got?" Zac wanted to know.
All Derrick had to mention was keyboard and Zac couldn't wait for him to bring it over.
"I got some original stuff I'd love to fuss around with on the keyboard." Zac told him.
Derrick shrugged with a smirk that he could make that happen.
"I'll get my bass, its in the car." Derrick wasn't sure what to expect, so he didn't bring it in.
"What am I suppose to do?" Fish looked as if he really shouldn't be here.
"How about... the cowbell? I got one in my trunk." Derrick said on the way up the stairs looking back at Fish and Zac. He could see it now. Fish was pretty devoted to this Zac, but it was obvious Zac didn't have a clue.
