No need to know

No Need to Know

"Are you serious?" Shan couldn't help but laugh when Fish told him what Wild called about. Sawyer and Syreeta.

"I dunno. I can't see Sawyer ever being mean to Syreeta." Fish laid back down in bed as if he wasn't going anywhere. Besides, Shan had another hour to kill before work.

It was cold outside. That winter sun could be so deceiving. They were cuddling close in the cozy warm bed. Really, Shan had Fish right were he wanted him.

"You, don't think they're having sex, do you?" Shan asked, hoping Syreeta nor Sawyer would ask the same question about him or Fish..because they were.

It was one of those 3 O'clock things, on the schedule. Fish got out of school by 2:30. Next stop, Shan's place. Then they'd have a good twenty minutes together before food.. then off to work.

Shan liked that schedule. If the weather got bad, he'd pick Fish up from school. The only thing better would be having Fish over all the time, and maybe that would happen one day.

"Not Syreeta." Fish shook his head, no.

"Well, she's not Mother Theresa, you know. Its gotta happen some time." Shan told him.

"It'll be a long time from now. She's not like that." Fish didn't believe him.

"She's probably thinking about it." Shan sighed as if that would be nothing new.

"What am I suppose to do about it?" Fish looked as if he were freaked now, about his little sister.

Shan kissed him as if to get him too forget. And he did for a minute or so.

"I should talk to her. I really should talk to her." Fish was floundering in the covers.

"Like, right now?" Shan winced as he pushed his fingers through Fish's auburn hair.

"Maybe. Maybe I should." Fish was resisting. Shan knew he'd win.

"Babe, this is just one of those things, you've got to let your Mom and Dad take care of." Shan nudged him back down on his pillow and Shan rested his chin on Fish's chest.

"They haven't even talked to me, about us." Fish sighed.

"Don't even go there." Shan smiled.

"I should really talk to them."

Shan didn't like the idea. He shook his head, no.

"Why?" Fish wanted to know.

"Look, we're naked. Less talking, OK?" He kissed Fish as if they better get back to what they came for. As long as he could remember, nothing good happened when his parents were in serious talks. It  meant more arguing. And Shan didn't dare want to have those sort of moments, ever again.

  1. Shan is ..well..a guy. Probably, not the biggest romantic, but I do think he adores someone.
