Max was thrilled with the news when he found out they were having a baby girl. Suddenly, if felt as everything changed.

"I didn't think it would matter." He told Daisy as she getting the goo off her belly after the ultra-sound.

Just a few minutes ago they'd held hands. Seeing the baby on the screen made this so real. And it was a girl. He couldn't stop thinking about that fact.

"I knew." She finally confessed.

Max watched her slip back into her top that slid over her little pregnant belly. He guessed she was a good actress, after all.

"Well, thanks for not spoiling it for me." He said ever so sincerely. He was not going to let her stamp out this fifteen minutes of happiness that ignited in him. "I-I was wondering if..if..we could name the baby.. Amanda."

He stared at her intently.

"I know..your sister was important to you." Daisy hugged herself as they exited out into the waiting room. Other couples were waiting for the sonogram room.

Max looked at all the sweet couples. Most were married. Some looked like they should have been grandparents, already. Here he was with Daisy, thinking they might as well be strangers.

"We..we could call her Mandy." Max shrugged with a smile.

"I guess." She shrugged.

"Well..you do care..don't you?" Max wanted to know as they walked down the corridor.

"God, you know, I care." She glared at him, as if this was all his fault.

Max wanted to know if she was seeing that blonde guy, anymore.

She shook her head, no.

"But do you want to see him?" Max wanted to know.

Daisy only sucked in a breath.

"Look, I want to be there for the baby..and..and you too." But even when he said it, he couldn't be sure that was what she really wanted.

She put her arms around his neck and cried softly into his old gray Tee-shirt. They were going be parents in  month or two. Max hoped it wasn't too late for the both of them.

It was official. It came in Aidan's e-mail. He could now officiate weddings. He hadn't planned on it, but Audrey suggested it. She'd shown him in the paper, the want-ads . It seemed they would pay people at a big hotel to officiate weddings. Of course, she had one in mind that he wouldn't get any money for.

She was planning Jane and Asa's wedding.

"How are we actually going to do this?"

Audrey wanted a surprise wedding. Aidan wasn't sure either would want it, but he did know they did have a marriage license.

"I dunno, I'll invite them to dinner." It was going to be a small affair. However,  no one knew about it yet. "I'm thinking of inviting Asa's friend that comes by the library, all the time. He stops in and talks to him every week."

"Who is he?"

"Ed..Edmond..something like that. He works at the University. He's a linguist." She told him as she already had a picture of the cake for the wedding. "He can be Asa's best man. Ed was telling me, they were on the missionary trip in South America."

"Are you like a bartender?" Aidan winced wondering why everyone who came in the library told her everything.

"I'm just a good listener." She informed him. The sooner they had the wedding, the better.
