"What else do, you, want to know?" Rossie looked over at Jen and then Carly as she sat with her feet propped up on the couch. Her oasis was her little apartment. Jen brought Carly along to talk about Rossie's wedding. After all, Rossie had decided they could both be her brides maids.
"What are the colors?" Jen wanted to know while Carly set out lunch, they'd brought from the deli.
"I suppose white." Rossie shrugged as if it might be impossible for her to actually get in a wedding dress.
"Just white." Jen almost laughed. "Come on, it has to be more than white."
"What? Are you saying I shouldn't wear white?" Rossie snapped, but Jen knew it was the pregnant beast talking, not laid back Rossie.
"Of course, you can wear whatever you want. What colors do you want Carly and me to wear?" About then Carly brought over the green smoothie that Rossie ordered.
"Whatever you want." Rossie did look tired.
"But I want it to be..what you want." Jen looked at her, wishing Rossie could be happy.
"Are you, really all right with this?" Jen wanted to know as she took Rossie's hand.
"Yes..its just ..I dunno..it's so overwhelming." She nursed on the smoothie, as if she was avoiding any real answers.
"Well, we want you to think about a color. Your favorite color." Jen did her best to simplify it.
"Fuchsia. " Rossie said after another sip of her smoothie.
"All right." Jen smiled.
"But I like mint too." Rossie scrunched a frown.
