"I'm so sorry." Henry winced hard, he could see how let down Josie was about the apartment. He set on her bed wondering if he should get up and lean against the wall. His lower back was throbbing "Look, we'd probably hate it there. You know, Derrick might be over, all the time. And..and ..well, Sky and Sam are going to be there too." He didn't want to say it would be awkward, but it would be.
"You're right." She nodded with a sigh. "But, your parents are expecting you, to find your own place now, right?"
"I guess." Yes, there was Frankie to think about. He was in the guestroom. Wasn't like they'd put him out on the street. "We may have to wait, another month now."
"Another month." Josie sounded totally defeated.
Henry only sighed and decided to flop himself on his stomach on her bed. He laid there still for a moment.
"You know, what I really want?" He finally said.
"What?"She didn't sound too happy.
"Could you walk on my back?"
"I dunno. What if I hurt you?" She told him it might be best if he got in the floor.
"I don't think so, then I might never get up." He closed his eyes.
"All right." She gave in.
Camille heard a commotion from Josie's room. She opened the door immediately, and found Josie in the floor.
"What are you doing!" She snapped.
There was Henry in the middle of her bed. At least, fully clothed, but in his socks.
"I was walking on his back." She looked at her mother blankly.
"And then she fell." Henry rested his chin on the palm of his hand, as he laid on his stomach looking at Camille, giving her a full report.
"Do you feel better?' Josie wanted to know.
"Not really." He did look tired.
Camille rested her hands on her waist. Dear God, she thought, what if Henry is stuck in Josie's bed?
She told him to turn over and put his knees up to his chest, wrap himself up in a ball, and squeeze. No way, did she want another of Josie's boyfriends, living here.
