Is this just a fantasy?

Is this just a fantasy?

Jamie hadn't been home in days. Luckily, he and Effy found a place. It was a small one bedroom apartment, off campus.

None of this would have ever happen if they hadn't met Yuki after they went skating. The funny thing was, he was a classmate of Jamie's who he could never live up too, and he was also Effy's old boyfriend.

So of course, Jamie felt he was glued to Effy.

"That can't be good on the relationship." Joey suggested he should trust Effy, while Jamie was packing up the last of this things. "I mean, have you ever really lived with a woman before?"

Jamie could only think of one, and that was his mother, which didn't last very long.

"I don't need this right now." Jamie scrunched a sour look and snapped his suitcase shut.

"That's one big-ass suit case." Joey didn't do much to help him drag it out of the basement. "Are you sure you really want to do this? What did that guy do? To stir up so much trouble." Joey watched Jamie drag the heavy suitcase up the basement stairs.

Midway up, Jamie gasped. "A little help here, please!"

Finally Joey pushed on the fat suitcase while Jamie pulled.

"I don't think you know what you're doing." Joey said once they reached the top of the stairs. "You know, that place is Cockroach City, don't you?" Joey's smirk was so irritating.

"You're a medical student. That place is loud. Pure misery." Joey added.

"What? You've lived there?" Jamie winced hard.

"About a week, when I first got here." Joey told him he hated it. "Where does that Yuki guy live? I bet its not there. Probably some place that's nice and quiet, where he can crash."

Jamie shook his head, no. He'd already put a deposit on the place.

"Good luck." Joey looked at him sleepily, as if it was time for a nap. As usual, he plopped in front of the TV to watch Ren and Stimpy.

Jamie sighed. He really needed some help, getting his stuff out to the car.
