my little China Girl

my little China Girl

Xander didn't know how to say it, but they were alone and the dishes were done.

"Are you using protection?" He asked Corina.

She looked at him as if she had no idea how to use a gun.

Xander sighed. "Are you and Joey-" He bit his bottom lip, but he was certain  Joey was a liar. Still, he didn't want to speak ill of him, and yet he needed too.

"See, Joey..well, Joey can say things..that aren't always true..so..so I want to know..if..if you feel ..OK..being .. in a relationship, with him."

She was still at a loss for words and Xander was beginning to think this was an endless monologue, he didn't know if he could get through.

"Honestly, you don't have to tell me anything." He shook his head. "But, but if you need to see a doctor..for any reason...I would go with you."

He had to put that out there. She finally nodded.

"Do you think he's going to leave me?" Suddenly, tears emerged from Corina's long face.

"No, of course not." Xander's eyes lit. That never crossed his mind. "Did something happen?"

Naturally, she had to fall into his arms and cry into his tee-shirt.

"I dunno." She mumbled as she hugged him tight. "He just seems so different, lately."

"But..but I thought you guys, went out for Valentines day. Didn't you guys see your old roommate and her boyfriend?" Xander thought they'd gone out bowling and then to the midnight showing of some Starwars movie. Corina was always over here. She might as well, have lived here.

Finally, Corina looked at the time. She needed to pick Joey up from the library.

Xander sighed and looked down at the wet spot on his tee-shirt. He winced hard. What would they do? If Corina had a baby?
