here we are

It was a rush, but oh so exhausting. Thank God, Ed knew the way to Adventureland. Gabby knew she couldn't have navigated the trip otherwise.

Ollie and Valentina rode in the backseat while Ste rode shotgun. At it was, everyone seemed to be on their best behavior.

"How in the world did you ever talk Will into going?" Gabby had to ask since Will was her ex. Also, there was a time when Ollie was in LOVE with Ivy.

"I dunno." Ollie shrugged who looked over at Val. "Maybe because of her."

"What did I do?" Val looked at him puzzled.

"I doubt we'll ever be friends." He slightly sighed as if he didn't really have to be friends with Will. Hopefully, Ste wouldn't bother to ask about Gabby's ex.

She kept her eye on the road, thinking this was a new beginning. She was a high school graduate and Ste was not the nuisance he was over winter. He seemed different now after helping out with Macy's baby. No way was she questioning him about this change. Ater all, it was for the better.

An hour or so later they got to the hotel. The girls settled in one room. The boys in the other. Ed and Betty had a room with Brick. Their friend was in a room with her grand-daughter Lily while Sawyer and his boyfriend got their own room. As well as Dewey and Angie got their own room, too.

Of course, no one stayed in their rooms long. They made their way to the amusement park in the hot humidity.

"Let's just go to the water park for now and get to rides in the morning," Betty suggested. Everyone followed as if it were a good idea.

Gabby hung back, even after they changed in their swimsuits. She remembered there was a time when she envied Ivy and Will who seemed to be having their own private argument, already.

Just what had Will done this time? Probably nothing. He was so good at doing nothing. She was beginning to think it was because he was indecisive or was he so decisive no one could really stand him.

She was sure Ivy would be happier without him. But she hoped they could all get along this trip. Of course, she wouldn't make the effort. Why should she?
