a girl like Ivy

Ivy knew she should be thinking about the 4th and what she'd wear and where she would go. Even if the 4th was in the middle of the week. She knew her mind should be focused on Will, too. But it wasn't.

Not since the phone calls and texts she'd gotten from Brian. Just when she hoped she'd put an end to all this summer fling, she didn't.

Yes, he made her giddy and full of laughter. She really didn't know why. She'd only met him once. That alone lasted all of five minutes.

What was wrong with her? Why was she like this?

She tossed and turned at night, thinking about how it was when she and Will first got together. It was such a whirlwind. It felt like a dream. And she was excited about all the possibilities with him.

"Don't you remember how it was when you were with Ollie?" Joon told her she might have a problem. She'd gone to the Campus Coffee Shop a few days ago and it wasn't busy then and she almost told him about Brian.

She had no idea how she'd worried Joon. Her so-called big brother was afraid she would run off with him. "You need to ask yourself, why you are like this," Joon told her she needed to stop thinking about a romantic adventure.

Now, she started to doubt herself. Maybe she was mental. But she was so happy to have met someone like Brian. She couldn't wait to see him, again.
