Careful, you'll lose yourself

When Ivy found out the truth at the end of a blue stick, she didn't call Brian, she went straight to the library to see Will as if he'd have the real answer for her.

Of course, he didn't say anything other than giving her a told you so look.

"What does any of this have to do with me?" His question was cold as he gave her a cup of tea in the breakroom to calm her down. She looked at him as if she'd rather drink poison.

"Don't blame me." He was straight lipped. It was true. She did blame him. If only, he would have let her get the birth control months ago. She reminded him, but he shook his head, no.

"If you'd really wanted to take care of that, it was up to you." He looked at her blankly. It was true she hated the idea of going to the doctor for that sort of thing. It was as if she needed someone else to do it for her.

She swelled a frown.

He asked if Brian knew about the pregnancy. Besides, he assured her what she really needed to do was to make an appointment.

"Maybe, it's all false." But he didn't sound optimistic. "It could be worse." He shoved his hands in the pockets of his hoodie.

"Like what?" She couldn't think of anything worse.

"I dunno." He shrugged. "You could find out if its cancer."

"Cancer?" She winced. Shaking her head, no. She nursed her bottom lip, knowing now she should have never confided in Will. After all, they weren't even friends anymore.
