Lux knew she said some things about her brother that she shouldn't, especially to Will. After all, Will must have thought they were strange. She was certain her brother must have hurt Jordon. Why else were they together?
"He's monster," Lux finally acknowledged. It was late and she knew she should have been studying. Will already did his homework and was playing with Jake. He'd cleaned the kitchen too.
"Are you sure that's who you're really talking about?" His question almost made her gasp. She looked at him blankly. What did he know?
She nursed her bottom lip, thinking maybe he was right. Maybe she didn't know anything about her brother Wade. Still, she didn't want to bring up Jake's father.
"Look, you can talk to me about anything." Will didn't leave this alone. It was as if he was ready for her to talk.
She didn't really want to drag up memories of Josh. It would be messy and she might not be able to put those thoughts back where they were stored in her mind.
She told him, he would regret it. After all, who was she kidding? Will, might never want to ever be around her, again.
