who knew there would be days like this

"OH MY GOD!" Ducky wanted to scream so badly, when he saw Xander with the baby. Their place was becoming a human zoo.

1. There was Kevin who was on the hunt for a job and was only going to stay with them until he got some full-time work. That had not happened yet, and Xander waited on him as if he were a prince of some kind.

2. There was Dakota. Ducky was certain she needed to be with her father, but that probably wouldn't happen til summer.. since Joey was getting married and Dakota was in school. He'd let the honeymoon be well over before Ducy spoke up about that transition.

3. Simon was here. Xander thought it would be best for him to be away from his parents for a while, who were on the brink of divorce.

4. And now a baby! What was wrong with this picture?

"It won't be for long." Xander said he was helping out Hal (Liv's ex-roommate..Liv would soon be Joey's wife) "He..he just hasn't found anyone to take care of Christian yet."

But it was easy for Ducky to see that Xander was mad over the infant. He kept the baby in a pouch across his chest.

Ducky shook his head.

There were his days at the hospital and then a home, where only wayward souls existed. He should be used to this by now, and he was certain Xander needed a break.

"Who's baby is it? Anyway?" Ducky needed some answers.

"Hal's boyfriend went back to Seoul." Xander informed him the baby was technically Hal's.

And now Ducky was beginning to think it was Xander's baby, too.

There was a twitch in Ducky left eye. For a moment, he could see Xander wanting to leave him to runaway with a baby. But he knew it wouldn't happen. Xander tended to spread himself thin. He didn't even know, how well his nail salon business was actually doing.

It was hard to think of him as an owner of such a venture. He was more than a stay at home dad, but Ducky knew everyone here thought of Xander, as just the listener who was out to help everyone.
