Here we are

Josie didn't know where to start, but she thought she should take the infant off Xander's hands. He looked frazzled.

"And..and Simon's here too?" She winced, happy she'd left Henry with the baby, so she could visit with Xander.

"Yeah, he's going to stay with us." Xander said while he made a pot of decaff coffee. Josie couldn't drink regular coffee since she was pregnant, and as jittery as Xander was, she knew he didn't need any extra caffeine, either.

"But..but I thought he was sick?" That was the last she'd heard. Granted, they didn't call each other much, but she got his daily steady text. If it wasn't from him then it was from Sheena, who was battling her own baby woes when she was helping out with Minnie's kids.

"He's..he's better." When Xander said it, she wasn't sure she believed him and now she wondered if Simon had had the flu at all.

It had been frightening this season, but she'd gotten her flu shot months ago. Although, it didn't sound like this vaccine was worthy. Although, she guessed it was better than none at all.

She held the baby boy up and watched his wobbly head.

"He needs some tummy time." She told him.

"What?" Xander winced as if this might be something serious.

"Let him down on the floor. Put him on a blanket, let him push himself up. He'll probably sleep better if he gets some exercise." She went and showed Xander what she meant.

Baby Christian struggled like a little turtle, but a curious one. They both smiled watching him squirm.

"Why didn't I think of that?" Xander sighed as he pushed his thick locks back. "I'll have to let Hal know."

"Hal?" Josie wondered just how many people were in Xander's life these days.

"He's Christian's guardian." Xander pressed his lips tight and told her that Christian was actually Gun's baby.

"Oh." Josie looked at the infant. She vaguely remembered Gun, who was around when Xander first moved in, when Henry and Josie got their first apartment together. They'd (Xander and Gun) gone to school together where Xander grew up in Seoul. "Does he know? You're helping?" Josie asked since she knew for a fact that Gun was Xander's first love.

Xander shook his head, no. He told her he hadn't even told Hal that he knew Gun.

"That's not important, right now." Xander sighed as he went to pour coffee. "I just hope Hal won't feel so overwhelmed and he'll be happy with Christian." Xander made it sound that Gun might not come back and Hal would be all on his own with Christian.
