Ollie wasn't so sure the beginning of the new school year was getting off to a good start. Especially, with the arrival of Jools from Shanghai. Valentina's mom was hosting a foreign exchange student.
"He can't be here, that long can he?" Ollie definitely didn't want Jools around, who was so endearing with a sweet smile. Jools might have been a senior, but he followed Valentina around like a puppy.
"Possibly, the whole year." Valentina shrugged who didn't really seem to notice Jools' attention. After all, she was showing Jools around, but he seemed to be happy in her presences.
"Why? Why is this happening?" Ollie asked Gabby later who wasn't thinking about her new wardrobe at the University and not High School woes.
"Maybe you're jealous." She smirked with a shrug.
"Jealous?" Ollie squinted hard. It had never crossed his mind. He wanted to be alone with his girlfriend, but the pretty Chinese guy was always around. Of course, he wasn't jealous. He trusted Valentina. After all, she was the one who pulled him back into her life. She wanted him, not the foreigner.
But the more he thought about it, and what Gabby said, he kept assuring himself that wasn't true. Still, he needed to keep Valentina closer and evidently, his enemy even closer. This was the last thing he needed for the new school year.
How in the world would he ever get Jools out of the picture?
