in the game
Honestly, Sunny never imagined he'd be a big brother to anyone, again. True, he'd gone out of his way to being there for Lily, even if he knew it was temporary. He guessed he could do the same for Matty. It was only temporary. The kid would probably be back home in a few months. Did he really have to get to know him?
Besides, there was Rosie to think about. After all, she was his best friend and he hoped he would be the boyfriend she needed.
Also, there was soccer. He'd made the team this year. And a new friend came with it. His name was West and he knew a lot about soccer and the team as well.
Suddenly, Sunny was in the mix with the team and West texted him about everything. It was a lot to get used to since the only person who really texted him was Rosie, but now he got a wake-up text from West who would even pick him up for early morning practice.
It was starting to annoy Rosie.
"I'm sure once the season is over, everything will go back to normal." Sunny shrugged it off since the real season didn't start until Spring, but since it was new this new school year there was a lot of practice and few games. Actually, there would be a lot of practice for the whole year. Winter, it would be moved indoors.
"But, I don't want you to be around West, all the time." He found her whining about it.
"It'll take some getting used to." He didn't what else to say. He didn't want to think anything else had change. Still, it was true, nothing stayed the same forever.
