"It's not as romantic as you might think," Will wanted to make it clear to his Dad and Clare that he would only be Lux's roommate.
"We still want to meet her," his dad said she should come to dinner.
"You know, I've watched you grow up, more than my own sons," Clare told him she would be happy to help anyway she could with Lux and her baby.
Will nodded, but he still didn't want them thinking Lux was a problem, even if he was starting at the University.
"She's Evan's neighbor," Will said he would be living in the same apartment complex as his co-worker from the library. It wasn't that far from the University. In fact, a lot of university students lived there. Lux went to the University.
He knew they'd never understand why he wanted to be with her. How could he tell them she was a muse he finally found again? Was he crazy? More romantic than the average guy? Was it really a solution?
Will knew they still felt he wasn't over Ivy, but they didn't tell him he was rushing into anything.
Maybe, they were afraid he'd live his days out in that dark room of his and they wanted him to get out and see the world.
He knew they loved him, but they would never hold him back.
