Something weird was going on with Jordon. At least, Lux thought so. Not once did Jordon talk about herself.
Jordon didn't talk about Wade either. He was staying with Jordon. In fact, they were living together. Something else, Lux couldn't quite believe, but she guessed it was true.
Instead, Jordon was full of smiles, telling her all about SKINNY LOVE.
Well, Lux had no idea what Jordon was talking about. Had Jordon ever met Will?
Of course, she was late with the food. The pizza was cold, but they ate anyway. She was famished too.
Soon enough, Will went with her to pick up Jake. Of course, she thought she might explode from eating too much. Perhaps, that wasn't it. She was just nervous she guessed.
"What's there to be nervous about?" Her grandmother picked up on this. "He's just your roommate, isn't he?"
Will was in the other room playing with Jake who kept bringing him board books to read to him.
Lux pressed her lips tight. "Of course, he's just my roommate."
Still, maybe she'd been on her own far too long. Sure, she fussed with her brother Wade, who always let her win a fight. But this was different. She couldn't be so angry with Will. She winced, wondering if this was a mistake. Still, her gut told her, this was probably the best mistake she'd had since having Jake.
