"I swear, you do everything with her," Cody told Liam he guessed they went to the bathroom together, too.
Liam got a good laugh out of his roommate's angst. It was true Cody was very lucky in love.
Of course, Liam didn't see any of it as luck, but more of an opportunity to get to know someone. And the hours and days he spent with Lizzie were little adventures after another. Of course, no one would believe that, but Liam did.
"We just enjoy each other's company." Liam hugged himself tight as if he didn't want to lose the essence of it. They weren't out to prove their love. They wanted to make each other happy. That meant holding hands, Autumn walks, texting when they awoke and went to bed, making sure they knew where each other were. "It's not a chore."
But it was Cody who was the player. He would find it all boring. Liam knew Cody slept around. A lot.
"When's that going to happen?" Cody made it sound more like a challenge than a question.
"Oh, I dunno." Liam slightly sighed. He was in no hurry. Besides most of their dates happened at the library, anyway. "It's not like I have a goal on the calendar." This was something he didn't need to measure. He was thankful to meet someone like Lizzie. And if anything were to happen, well, no way was he ever telling his roommate Cody.
